High School Offerings:

College Application Bootcamp

The Green Ivy College Application Bootcamp is essential for every rising high school senior.

Our bootcamp is a one-of-a-kind, comprehensive program designed to help rising high school seniors navigate the nuts and bolts of the application process. We devote sixteen hours over four days to help students organize their applications to shine a light on their talents, interests, and unique gifts. We review initial college lists, recommendation letters, personal statements, activity lists, and supplemental questions, along with the basic information for the Common Application, Coalition Application and other pertinent applications. Students generally conclude the workshop with a solid foundation for a personal statement, as well as guidance on drafting and editing supplemental and short answer questions.

Each session is limited to 8 students, and meets on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of the workshop week.

Note: For students working with us on the entire college advising process, this workshop is included, and otherwise can be done as a standalone option.

College Admissions and Academic Advising

At Green Ivy, our thoughtful, balanced, and personalized approach empowers students to develop competitive applications and personal statements that highlight their individual strengths.

Students often begin the college counseling process with us during their sophomore or junior year through a one-hour consultation in which we review coursework, transcripts, test scores, activities, and personal interests.

We offer several options for working with Green Ivy on the college application process.

College Application Jump Start Workshop

The College Application Jump Start Workshop is designed for high school seniors who want help getting started on their college applications. The individualized workshop consists of four comprehensive sessions designed to instill confidence, spark inspiration, and inspire students to write standout college essays. Students meet with a counselor weekly or bi-weekly, and complete work in-between sessions. Our counselors provide students with high-quality instruction and guidance around refining college lists, creating an activity list, writing personal statements, drafting supplemental essays, and effectively planning out their application process. The workshop is tailored to suit each student’s needs and goals.
